What is “Faith?”

What does it mean to believe in something?
What difference does it make?
What do you need and want as a person who believes?
What are your thoughts?

Join us every at 9:30 each Thursday morning in the JMT offices for coffee, conversation, and light refreshments, as members of the Jordan Ministry Team host a guided conversation looking at important questions of faith.

January Busy-People's Retreat

Moving Beyond Doubt
Having doubt is part of the way we try to make sense of life. However, doubt also can become a heavy, dark cloud that obscures the light of the sun, casting shadows upon everything we do, believe, and feel. Faith is the antidote for life’s doubts—the wind that blows away the grey clouds, allowing the light to shine again on us and in us. This mini-retreat is designed to help you understand your feelings of doubt and move beyond them to a light-filled vista of faith, hope, and love.

This busy-people's retreat will take place on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, from 6:30-8:30pm at the Jordan Ministry Center.
The cost for the retreat is $15 and participants will receive a copy of Bro. Silas Henderson's book, Moving Beyond Doubt; light refreshments will be provided. Space is limited. Please RSVP by calling (502)623-2563 or email JMT@JordanMinistry.org.
February Busy-People's Retreat
Aging and Spirituality

Tuesday, February 5, 2019

God never stops calling us into a deeper relationship. The movement into the status of an “elder” can be filled with apprehension as well as hope. This time of life calls for a renewed, and even reimagined spirituality. While there are challenges, there are unique gifts as well. With visual images, poetry, and music this mini-retreat will open up the opportunities present in this rich time of life.
The cost of the mini-retreat is $10; a light continental breakfast will be provided. Space is limited. Please RSVP by calling (502)623-2563 or email JMT@JordanMinistry.org.
